Whether it's Spring, Summer or the middle of Winter, there are always things to do, places to go and things to see. If you are into water sports or fishing you've come to the right spot. There are several great lakes in the area, the favorite of many being our own Lake Almanor.
If you are the more adventuresome type there are miles of wonderful trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding. In the Winter months, there's skiing and snow boarding at Stover Mountain or snowmobiling on miles of trails and meadows.
Lake Almanor is dotted with resorts, campgrounds, cabins on the lake, motels and bed & breakfasts as well as some fine restaurants.

The Chamber is a very integral part of the community and serves it in many ways.
In addition to supporting our local businesses and organizations we help with fund-raisers and host many of the annual events. We also provide a contact point between visitors and our members.
The staff here at the Chamber will gladly help with any questions you may have regarding the area, the Chamber itself and the benefits of membership.

With so many fun things to do in this area it's hard to decide what to do! Residents and visitors alike enjoy boating, fishing, a round of golf, a horseback ride, sitting around a campfire, exploring the wonder of Mount Lassen or shopping.
The Winter sports enthusiests can enjoy downhill or cross-country skiing and snowmobiling at the many parks in the area.
There are many annual events that are held throughout the year as well.

How to get to Chester and Lake Almanor without getting lost!
We have provided links to a couple of great sites for directions here to Chester from wherever you are.
MapQuest provides a free driving direction service that is really great. You merely type in your starting point and type Chester, CA as the destination and viola. Instant directions! Isn't modern technology great!
Another free service is MapBlast. Not quite as easy to use as MapQuest and you'll need to register with MapBlast to use their maps and directions. A small inconvenience for a free service.
Yet another resource for finding your way here is provided by Expedia. Again, not as user friendly as MapQuest but well, the price is right!
